Hello

I’m Liz, a psychologist, author, and slow living advocate. I’m passionate about helping people step off autopilot, slow down, and live with more purpose, peace, and joy.

My Story

As a working mum to two teenage boys, I know firsthand what it’s like to juggle work, family, and everyday life while trying to keep everyone fed, clothed, and (mostly) sane. My mission is to live and help others live a slower, more intentional life that’s rich in meaning, connection, and everyday joy.

For years, I found myself caught in the same endless cycle of busyness. Life was rushing past me. I was burnt out, constantly chasing my tail and showing up for everyone else while putting myself last. I was going through the motions of life but not truly living it.

It wasn’t until I realised that no one was going to slow life down for me, that I had to do it myself, that everything began to change. That turning point led me to embrace slow and intentional living, and in doing so, I began to reclaim my time, energy, and zest for life.

My world went from a whirlwind to a gentle breeze. Sometimes it’s still a little windy, but now I know how to steady myself and find calm, even when things get hectic, through mindfulness, gratitude, connecting with nature, and setting boundaries.

My journey, which is still ongoing, inspired me to write Stop Rushing and Start Living: How to Slow Down, Stress Less, and Enjoy More. Through my writing, I hope to guide others toward a slower, happier, and more fulfilling life, one that feels rich in meaning and full of joy.

When we unplug from the noise of the world,
we remember the rhythm of our breath,
the pulse of the earth and the quiet truth of who we are.”
